Kim Hill is the Director of the Automotive Communities Program (ACP) and the Director of the Sustainability & Economic Development Group within CAR.  The ACP is aimed at helping government and economic developers in traditional automotive communities to work on attraction and retention efforts. 

Mr. Hill’s work with CAR has focused on economic and business modeling, for the purpose of public policy analysis. Mr. Hill is CAR’s lead investigator on economic impact analyses.  These analyses estimate employment and economic impacts on the national and state economies that result from automotive company activities.

Mr. Hill received his B.F.A. degree from the University of Michigan.  After many interesting years in the photography business, he earned an M.P.P. from the University of Michigan.  Mr. Hill then analyzed public policy issues for Ann Arbor’s City Administrator’s Office and the Center for Environmental Policy, Economics, and Science.  Mr. Hill then joined the University of Michigan’s Office for the Study of Automotive Transportation.  After leaving the University of Michigan, he worked as a business consultant for CFI Group before joining CAR.
